There are many ways to talk about future events. One of them is the ir + a + infinitive (also called simple tense). We use ir + a + infinitive to tell what someone is going to do. This way uses the verb "ir," which means "to go." Conjugate ir, add an "a," and then add the verb, unconjugated, that you are planning to use.
EXAMPLES:
El futuro va a ser mejor.
The future is going to be better.
Yo voy a trabajar cuando yo estoy a la escuela. I am going to work when I am at school.
Are you ready to learn Ir+a+inf. Its easy! There are many useful spanish sentences using two verbs. Ir+a+inf means "going to do something" usually in the near future. You always use ir then add "a" in between it and the second verb. The second verd is ALWAYS left unconjugated!
Ex) Pablo is going to read the book. Pablo va a leer el libro.
